Okay Lindon Debut A New Single From Upcoming Album

The latest single to drop from Middletown, Ohio indie-pop band OKAY LINDON's return release, Passion Pain, has debuted on Bandcamp, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Pandora, Napster, Mixcloud, Slacker, Youtube (see above :) and probably some extraterrestrial radio stations.  Their previous material was more in the realm of alternative rock (with an indie rock influence), but this track has what I call a "Southwestern Ohio indie" sound to it.  Or maybe I'm just picking up on the influence that Cincinnati's prolific producer and musician, ISAAC JOEL, has had on music in the region.  Listen to THE BIG SPLIT's collaboration that David Roller of COAST OFF put together for reference.  On that note, Dustin Smith from OKAY LINDON appears on that massive collaboration album, as well.  But back to this song... I can't tell if this one almost-looping sound I hear in most of it is a violin, synth line, or weird guitar effect.  And sometimes the percussion sounds vaguely tropical, especially towards the end.  Which would only make sense, considering that in an interview with White Light//White Heat, Dustin said that dub techno was a major influence on their sound.

A band that Dustin did during OKAY LINDON's downtown was LUTE STUDENT.
